Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. We employ more than 6,500 staff, have approximately 900 beds and have a planned turnover in excess of £410m for 2017/2018.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, tenacious and enthusiastic individual to provide a case note search and retrieval service for the Unscheduled Care Division to ensure 100% compliance with the Clinical Coding deadline.

Applicants must have experience in a comparable role within the Trust and a proven ability to locate ‘missing’ case notes. In addition, applicants must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and be proficient in the use of HISS and Microsoft office, particularly excel.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Applicants must have a flexible approach to meet varying deadlines specific to service needs.

It should be noted that this post is physically active and involves a substantial amount of lifting, walking and transferring patient health record folders.
