Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. We employ more than 6,500 staff, have approximately 900 beds and have a planned turnover in excess of £410m for 2017/2018.

As one of the United Kingdom’s largest coastal resort, Blackpool has plenty to offer its residents – it’s not just a good place to work; it’s a great place to live. In addition to its bustling centre and historic seafront, the town is world famous for its many attractions, including the famous Blackpool Tower. Blackpool also offers a number of scenic cycling routes round our local parks and across the surrounding countryside, as well as boasting panoramic views of the coast on its picturesque Promenade. Further afield, Blackpool also benefits from less than three-hour connections via rail to Edinburgh in the north and London in the south.

Our strategic vision for 2020 is:

As a high performing Trust, operating as part of an integrated care system, we will provide high quality, safe and effective care. This will be achieved in a financially sustainable way, through our skilled and motivated workforce”.

Are you up for a challenge?

Do you want to help shape the frailty services across the Fylde Coast?

Are you ready to be involved in the development of a truly integrated community/hospital frailty pathway supporting our population here in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast?

If so, then we want to hear from you!

As a high performing Trust, operating as part of an integrated care system, we will provide high quality, safe and effective care. This will be achieved in a financially sustainable way, through our skilled and motivated workforce.

A key driver to our work is developing integrated pathways for our patients which incorporate community and hospital services to provide a seamless approach to care delivery for our population. One of our key pathways we want to focus on as a trust is frailty.

We have committed and dedicated staff across all professions who have the drive and passion to make this happen and this post would join this team to help influence and shape the pathway. The development of the Trust Frailty Pathway is at its early stages and there is real enthusiasm to support this development and truly provide an integrated pathway which incorporates community and hospital services delivered in a multi-disciplinary way.

We don’t underestimate the challenge that setting up a truly integrated frailty service brings; it will be hard work, it will hit hurdles, but with the amazing staff we have both in the hospital setting and community services who has a real “can do” attitude and a passion to make this work, we will succeed.

So if this appeals to you and you feel you can add your skills, expertise, knowledge and passion to our work then we would love to hear from you.
