Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. Children’s Therapy Team South is a forward-thinking integrated team providing therapy services to children and families across Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre.


The paediatric occupational therapists within our team provide assessment, treatment, advice and education to children and young people aged 0-19 living in our locality. We work in partnership with families, education and social care to maintain a holistic approach to the management of the child.

Services are provided within a range of locations to meet the needs of the child and family. These include schools, the child’s home, clinics and child development centres.


We are currently looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated occupational therapist who is committed to the development of paediatric services. Candidates should be able to demonstrate (i) a working knowledge of formal and informal assessments for children & young people (ii) knowledge or experience of assessment / recommendation for home adaptations (iii) an extensive current knowledge of a range of paediatric equipment and (iv) experience of management opportunities.

You will be based at St Anne’s Primary Care Centre alongside colleagues from various health professions. You can expect to be well supported via various routes including Trust induction, local team induction programme, clinical supervision, Paediatric OT Team meetings, Appraisal / Personal Development Review / Personal Development Plan etc.

There is support available from integrated team colleagues as well as admin staff and Technical instructors.


You will need to be a car driver or have suitable transport arrangements to enable you to undertake the essential travel within this role.


The Fylde coast is a welcoming place to live, offering a mix of market town and rural locations as well as the more well-known locations of Blackpool and Lytham St. Annes. We are only 45 minutes away from Manchester and less than an hour away from the southern Lake District, with the university town of Lancaster in close proximity also.
